Christmas has come and gone, but Christ has not.....

Well, the holiday of Christmas is now past tense. I hope and pray that you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to share it with your families and friends as I did. It was a wonderful time to be together and to share past Christmas memories as well as make new ones. We spent alot of time traveling the 25 miles back and forth to my families homes and the 4.5 miles back and forth from our old home and the new one! Makes you exhausted just thinking about it huh?! Yep! But it was worth it. I would like to end this Christmas season with a prayer.

Father God, once again I am before you with a broken heart and my soul laid bare for you to see! I would once again like to thank you for my family, my friends and my blessings. ALL OF THEM! I have many to count thanks to You. I would like to thank you for the 6 Christmas's that we spent with Ian. I would like to thank you for sending your son (self) to earth as a human (sinless) to sacrifice Him on my behalf. I would like to thank you for sending Him to the cross so that I might know that my place will one day be with you. I will meet you face to face and I will see my family members gone before. I will see my son! I would like to thank you for the health that I have, good and bad. I would like to especially thank you for my husband and my children and grand children and my son in law. Lord, I would pray that you would touch Kendra's heart and open it to the joys that You can give. I would pray that you would open her eyes to the love and joy she misses daily because she has closed them and her heart to You. I would pray that she will one day be the happy, free spirit that you sent and will be a joy to all who know and love her and that you will take away the pain and guilt she carries so that she might live freely with You and in your presence. I pray that you would give Paul and I wisdom to know how to handle the situations that she places us in as well as the family. I would ask for you to watch over my grandson and keep him safe and healthy this new year. I would continue to ask for John's patience to continue running strong as he needs lots of it. I would pray that the soldiers and all military would be allowed to return home safely and without doubt that they are doing right! They are protecting the innocents of a country that was devastated by an ungodly ruler. I would pray that you would use the people you designed for the purpose of teaching all the people there, who you are and that your love and grace will heal all! That You are the reason this great nation is a chosen place to live because of your teachings and truth. I would continue to pray for the families suffering through their first Christmas holiday without a loved one. I pray that you will comfort them and bring them the peace that only You can. I would pray that you would be seen by those who would oppose you during the season of your son's birth and that oppose the words Christmas, Christmas Tree and so on. I would pray for those who we would consider terrorists, that take offense at our beliefs and would choose to harm us. I would pray for you to send someone into their lives that they might get to know you personally. I would ask that you heal the broken hearted, the broken spirited and the broken bodied that lay alone and spent the blessed night of your son's birth alone. I would also like to ask you to particularly be with the children who have no families to bring them Christmas or any other celebrations for that matter. I would continue to pray that if it be your plan, that a child would need Paul and I for parents and Kaylee and Kendra for sisters. I would continue to pray for guidance in the path which you have planned for me and my family and I would like to ask you to let Paul see what great good he could do for your kingdom if he would become a part of the body of the church. Father God, I ask all of these things in the name of your precious son's name, AMEN.

She is DONE, DONE, DONE!!!

Well, my neice has done it! DONE it, DONE IT! She has graduated Sum Laude from Texas Christian University with a 4.o average and has done it in 3.5 years. Incredible! 3.5 years!!! I am sooooooo proud of her. She now has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and has many possibilities awaiting her and she is looking for a job. I am sure she will find one quickly. Until then, she is coming home for the Christmas holidays and I am excited to see her. She looks so happy. I really am excited to see where life leads her and am praying that she will allow God to show her the path that will use her talents well. Please pray that Erin will allow God to be the head of her life and that she will know in her heart when and where she will be put to work as He directs. Also pray for her choices and her heart to be led by the Spirit and that God will bless her daily and allow her to put her talents to good use for a great company that will take her far and allow her to achieve her goals and her dreams.
Bichu, I love you so much and I am soooo proud of you. Stay in touch with your heart and make your decisions wisely and allow God to bless you. You will go far and be a terrific "Somebody", as you already are!

CHRIST IS MAS..............

Christ IS MORE! I like that!

People, God will remember those who kept His son in the fore-front of Christmas. We, as christians need to begin rallying together, standing up for and fighting for our beliefs. This is still OUR great nation, founded on solid christian principles. Why are we "allowing" others to dictate what we can say, do, or show, celebrate and so many more.

Now there are banks removing piggy banks from their offices because it offends someone!

I was not intending to rant but here it comes..... It is our country! Is is not? Those who CHOSE to move here or are here for reasons other then they were born here, should adapt and be part of this what makes this nation great, not breaking it down so that soon it will be just like every other nation or country that is struggling to maintain "community"!!

Say, "Merry Christmas", Yes it is a "Christmas Tree", "yes I wll celebrate it in my daughters classroom, where I will open the celebrations with a prayer to my heavenly Father."

I would love to feel the love of Christmas but at the holidays it is harder to deal with life in general without Ian here. It gives me headaches and I want to close myself off from everyone that has a great time. Another Christmas without him will just be another year without him. Still sad, still missing, still knowing that I will see him again one day, still sad!

This year is just a tad different. I am so angry with the way people are being manipulated into dropping everything christian and putting up with the changes that is bringing with it like "holiday season, holiday shopping" etc. just to name a few. It is for some reason occupying most of my brain space and there is very little of that left. It seems to be all I can think about while I'm doing everything. So, I tell EVERYONE, "MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOD BLESS YOU DURING CHRISTMAS AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU"People, get off your rears, open your ears and get busy greeting everyone you know with "Merry Christmas, God bless you,"etc. Mean it when you say it because God IS MORE.
He knows who truly believes!

Ok, I'll try to be nice this time......

I was obviously having a bad day at the last time of posting! Could you tell? haha
I will try to do better this time.
I am doing laundry and stuffing, addressing, and licking Christmas cards. It is a boring task normally, but as I do it, I begin to think of things about each of the people I am sending one too. It is really kind of fun. I am enjoying the routine-ness of it. It is calming but exhausting trying to get them all done. I usually send out about 200 cards and that got so expensive this year that I narrowed it down to 150. If you are one of the people I took off my mailing list, I apologise but probably haven't heard from you in a year or more. Drop me a line and I will re-instate you to the current mailing list. heehee I hope all of your Christmas plans are coming along well and with good health and much happiness this week. Paul is at the deer lease and I am struggling to stay afloat with Kaylee being ill and all that is going on trying to get moved and such. I hope that each person (all 3 of you) that reads this, will pray for those who are fighting over seas for us to have the right to celebrate Christmas. Pray for all who are non believers and for those that are believers that have lost faith. I will come back in a few minutes to include my prayer for all of these and more.

It's Christmas Time.....

Well many things are happening at the same time. Of course you have the hunting trips that occur this time of year, the shopping, the church functions, the school functions, getting the Christmas cards signed and sealed, and let us not forget the shopping, the cleaning and the cooking. Ok, add to all of this......MOV ING!!! What a horrible time to be moving yet we are. We are trying to get into our new home before Christmas! May not be possible. We may be driving over to the new house Christmas morning to celebrate there. Haha
We are hosting a Christmas party for my Mother In Laws side of the family and you'll never guess where......YEP!!! the new house. Ok, the bathroom is ready, the kitchen is pretty ready, the dining room is ready but the living room needs um....... tree, trimming, decorations, furniture, tv, etc. Get the picture?! IT is a mess. Today, Kendra is coming out to help me and I am desperately needing it. Paul will be working hard this afternoon when he returns home from work to get the furniture loaded and then unloaded so that we can unpack the boxes of stuff just removed from them. What a mess!!! On a lighter note, things are going well and as can be expected. We just made a flying trip to Ft. Worth for my eldest neices Senior Art Show for her graduating class. It was a great trip and I loved visiting with Erin. She will be graduating in 2 weeks. Wow! What an accomplishment. And in only 3.5 years. She has the potential of getting a terrific job in the field that she loves. What more could you ask for.
Next, we are getting ready for this party and then there will be at least 4 more to follow. Kaylee is having one at school. They are actually calling it a Christmas party.
I am disgusted with all the fighting going on in politics about "Christmas"!!! It burns my butt that Americans and non-Americans are willing to go against the very core belief of this nation that has given them everyting that they need and try to deny the Christ in our holidays, schools, sports and even in our courthouses. IT MAKES ME SICK!!!
We as Christians should really learn to stand up more for our beliefs and quit waiting for someone else to be the "ONE" voice. We are the voice. I am a voice. I am saying this honestly and if feelings get hurt.......

If you do not believe in our country LEAVE
If you do not speak our language LEAVE (or learn it, do not use your children as translators.)
If you do not believe like me SHUT UP
If you are not happy with our laws LEAVE
If you do not support our President LEAVE (in other places this would be treason)
If you do not pray to God COVER your ears while I do, or LEAVE
If you do not like me TO BAD, my Savior does
If you can't take the fire LEAVE (don't just get out of the kitchen)
If you are not happy here LEAVE

There are so many more I could write if I had the time but since it is a free country and I am free to speak my mind, there is a piece of it.

God created this earth we live on and He was a very big part in the foundation of our nation. Let's be vocal about it and fight back. Stand up Christians, Americans, and shout from the roof or your homes, We believe in God, The Father, we pray, OUT LOUD, we will say, God Bless America, and so on and we will also say "MERRY CHRISTMAS" even to the people who are telling us, Happy holidays. Get the message, Target, Walgreens etc.
